Cycling
Like many other cities, there are several useful and affordable bike rental schemes in Manchester. Find out more information from Visit Manchester

If you are using your own bike, there are bike stands available on the main forecourt. 

Train
Manchester has three major mainline railway stations: Manchester Piccadilly, Manchester Victoria and Manchester Oxford Road.  

Manchester Piccadilly is a 20-minute walk, or a 10-15 minute drive, and is served by Northern, TransPennine Express, Cross Country, Transport for Wales, Avanti West Coast, and East Midlands Railway services. 

Manchester Victoria is an 18-minute walk, or a 10-15 minute drive, and is served by Northern and TransPennine Express services. 

Manchester Oxford Road is a 10-minute walk, or a 5-minute drive, and is served by Northern, TransPennine Express, Transport for Wales, and East Midlands Railway services.

Additionally, Deansgate station is around a 9-minute walk and links to more local services between Blackpool, Liverpool, Southport, Barrow In Furness, and Mancester Airport. 

Tram
The closet tram stop to Manchester Central is St. Peter's Square, just a 3-minute walk away. The stop is serviced by the Blue, Navy, Pink, Purple, and Green lines. 

The next closet stop is Deansgate-Castlefield, which is a 9-minute walk, and serviced by the Blue, Navy, Pink, Purple, and Green lines.  

Bus
There is a free bus service available within Manchester City Centre. Free bus route 1 runs in a circular route from Manchester Piccadilly station, and the closest stop to Manchester Central is Great Bridgewater Street / Bridgewater Hall (Stop SU) (5-minute walk).

CAR

Manchester's M60 orbital motorway provides easy access from north, south, east and west. If using a Satnav, the postcode for Manchester Central is M2 3GX.

Car parking
There are a range of car parking facilities within walking distance to the venue.

There is an NCP (National Car Park) directly below Manchester Central that is open 24 hours a day. The address is Lower Mosley Street, Manchester, M2 3GX. You can book parking in advance.

This car park also has Be.EV charging facilities for electric vehicles. Please note these spaces are limited. 

Other close by car parks include NCP Manchester Great Northern Warehouse 2, 4-minute walk (1 Watson St, Manchester M3 4EE), and YourParkingSpace Spaces - Peter House Car Park, 3-minute walk  (Peter House, Oxford St, Manchester M1 5AN). 

Taxis
There are several taxi services available in Manchester. These include local services and app-based services such as Uber. There is a taxi rank outside the front of the venue on Windmill Street.

AIR

Manchester Airport
Manchester Airport is 9 miles south of Manchester city centre, next to the M56 and with easy links to the M6, M60 and M62. It is around a 20-30 minute drive. 

Trains from Manchester Airport to Manchester Piccadilly station in the city centre take around 20 minutes. They run every 10 minutes, 7 days a week, through train operators TransPennine Express, Northern Rail and Transport for Wales. Services also call at Manchester Oxford Road and Deansgate stations. 

Coach services from National Express and Megabus can be booked and taken from the airport to the city centre. 

TfGM bus 103 and Stagecoach bus 43 also head to the city centre from the airport. 

Liverpool John Lennon Airport
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is a 50 minute drive from Manchester city centre, via the M62 motorway.   

By rail there are direct TransPennine Express and East Midlands Railway services from Liverpool South Parkway, just a 10-minute drive or 15-minute bus from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
