INNOVATION SPACE
Back by popular demand, the UK Space Conference Innovation Space will showcase leading technology, revolutionary solutions and the latest applications.
The Innovation Space serves as the conference’s central hub for highlighting cutting-edge research, technology, innovation, and skills. This is where all the launches and press moments take place, making it a focal point of the event.
The Innovation Space is located in the Exhibition Hall, and sponsored by Oxford Space Systems.
MATT TURNER - ARTIST
Matt’s work explores the relationship between science and art. On a visit to the Moscow Museum of Cosmonautics, he was inspired to paint. Struck by the huge space hardware,it seemed to Matt that space exploration represented the most positive aspects of humanity. Great achievements are only made possible by the collaboration of skilled, knowledgeable people working together towards a common goal.
Matt was a winner of the 2024 NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) Program “Imagine Tomorrow” design competition for his Evacuated (Vacuum) Airship concept for Martian surface exploration.
Last year he received support from Arts Council England and was invited to NASA’s art program collection at Kennedy and Johnson Space Centres. He has exhibited Internationally and frequently collaborate with Space Park Leicester.
Matt is also an elected member of the International Association of Astronomical Artists.
