Prof Adam Amara’s is a research scientist who studies the universe's evolution and the structures that lead to galaxies. This area of science has many unanswered questions that challenge our fundamental understanding of physics. This includes trying to understand the mysterious effects of dark matter and dark energy, which are not sci-fi terms but measured phenomena that dominate the universe's evolution.

Prof Amara has spent this career working in Higher-Education and has had the great fortune to be able to teach physics and maths all over the world. This includes working in the UK, US, France, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Libera. Since 2022 Prof Amara also chairs the UK Space Agency (UKSA) Science Programme Advisory Committee (SPAC), which is the highest national advisory body on UKSA astronomy science programmes.
