Name
Responsible Space Behaviours: The role of government, industry and academia on verifying state threats to space systems
Description

As we further engage in various multilateral fora to develop norms, rules and principles for space, it is important for States to consider methods for confirming or verifying compliance and attributing actions of States. This panel session will look to address four questions:

  1. What are norms, rules and principles or responsible behaviour and how can they help address threats from to and in space?
  2. How can we encourage compliance with such norms, rules and principles and what is the role of space domain/situational awareness in this?
  3. How can industry, civil society and governments work together to improve Space Domain Awareness/Space Situational Awareness to address risks and threats to space systems?
  4. What are the challenges to making this work, how can they be overcome?
