Secure by design principles and standards: The voluntary vs mandatory argument
Description
Growth of the commercial space sector needs to be tempered with the realisation that the threats are keeping pace. Industry needs to understand this risk and be proportionate in their activities to mitigate these.
This session focusses on how threats can be reduced through the implementation of norms, rules and principles of responsible behaviours.
We discuss how can commercial space can be made safe, secure and resilient in order to future proof assets and services. What is the appetite for mandatory standards for cyber security and what should these, and the regulatory framework look like?
