Andy Vick has developed instruments for Astronomy and Earth Observation and now runs a small, agile group at RAL Space specialising in getting new, disruptive technologies ready for space quickly and efficiently. He is UK PI for the SPEQTRE mission, which will launch in the next 12-18 months and demonstrate entanglement based QKD from Singapore. Andy is also lead on the EO for Marine and Climate (EO4MCM) programme, funded under the DSIT EO Investment Programme, which aims to develop a sovereign EO small-sat constellation.
