After serving as the ESA Business Applications Regional Ambassador, Alan co-authored the North West Space Strategy along with UKRI-STFC colleagues. Subsequently, with the creation of the North West Space Cluster by UKRI-STFC and other key stakeholders, Alan was appointed as its Manager, and is now tasked with the growth and diversification of the region's Space economy. Alan also serves within 'Space North'; a collaboration between the North West Space Cluster, Space Hub Yorkshire, and Space North East England to support promote the internationally competitive pan-Northern space economy.
