An aerospace engineer by background, Florian Deconinck is Vice President for Growth at Open Cosmos, managing a team organised in 3 functions (Future missions, Business Development, Marketing and Communication) working across department to define new missions and secure contracts, ensuring the alignment between the product and commercial roadmap. Prior to joining Open Cosmos, Florian worked at the Satellite Applications Catapult as SmallSat programme manager on topics include space debris, constellation and managing an In-Orbit Demonstration Programme. Previously, Florian held roles in satellite applications at the ESA, engineer at NASA Ames and procurement assistance at Airbus Defence and Space.
