Josh (he/him) joined the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology as Head of Space Strategy in October 2021. He is also the founder and Chair of Turing Plus, the department’s LGBTQ+ staff Network. Under his leadership, the network is laying the foundations for an inclusive, supportive, and excellent workplace for our LGBTQ+ members of staff.

His broader responsibilities have included designing a Space Directorate that acts as a clear centre of gravity for civil space policy across Whitehall, establishing the government’s first National Space Board in partnership with the Ministry of Defence, and overseeing the delivery of the ambitions set out in the National Space Strategy
