GPCAPT Scott Woodland enlisted into the RAAF in 1986 and flew the F/A-18 Hornet, graduating as a Fighter Combat Instructor in 1992. In 1996 he joined BAE Systems as an instructor in Saudi Arabia, flying Strikemaster, PC-9 and Hawks. Rejoining the RAAF in 2008, Scott completed executive tours on the Hawk 127 and Hornet, before working on the F-35 Program and commanding the final F/A-18 Hornet conversion unit. On promotion, Scott worked in Joint Operations Command J53 and in Australian Defence Force Design Division, before taking over as the Air and Space Advisor – London, in December 2022.
