Professor Robert Walsh is a world-leading expert on the Sun and its interaction with Earth. In particular he collaborates with NASA MSFC colleagues on their sub-orbital sounding rocket programme and is leading his institution's wider space agenda through a programme entitled "UCLan Space". He is a leading public engagement communicator with several science/art projects demonstrating unique observations of our closest star.
