At Space Forge, Alastair is focused on making commercial in-space growth of semiconductor materials a reality.
He has a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics and over 35 years experience in the semiconductor industry, working in the UK, the US and Singapore.
Over the last 20 years, he has been working across the UK electronics supply chain as Head of Business Development at the CSA Catapult and NMI, helping to grow UK industrial capability in non-silicon semiconductors and their applications.
He helped to found PowerelectronicsUK, Technology Scotland and the Driving the Electric Revolution programme, and gave verbal evidence as a UK supply chain expert to last year's BEIS semiconductor enquiry.
