Anita is Managing Director of MDA Space and Robotics Limited (“MDA UK”). Anita has an acknowledged industry pedigree, having started her career as a spacecraft design engineer at Airbus. She has held many leadership positions in the space industry, including a number of Director roles at Surrey Satellite Technology Limited.
Anita has full P&L responsibility for MDA UK, with support of MDA, Canada’s largest, most successful space company with a 50+ year heritage in Geointelligence, Satellite Systems and Robotics and Space Operations.
MDA UK is known for its sensor and laser system expertise: supporting Lunar landing, in-orbit rendezvous and proximity operations and space situational awareness missions. MDA UK is also known for its communication system capabilities, having designed and delivered COLKA, the UK’s first major contribution to the International Space Station. MDA UK is also developing low-cost robotic arm and sensor suite concepts for Active Debris Removal missions.
Anita is an Honorary Group Captain in Royal Air Force 601 Squadron, providing support to personnel in the RAF and MOD. She is also member of the Board of Directors of AAC Clyde Space and Trustee of UK charity The Air League.
Anita possesses an Aerospace Engineering Degree and an MBA.
