Joshua Broom is Head of Space at UK Department for Business & Trade. He leads the Department’s space engagement with UK companies looking to export, international companies wishing to invest and locate in the UK space sector, and investors looking to invest into UK companies and capabilities. Since joining the Civil Service in 2017, Josh has tackled many complex issues including negotiating with the European Union on UK participation in EU space programmes, mobilising space-based assets and expertise for emergency responses to international crises, establishing precedent-setting agreements with strategic space-faring allies, and landing international companies across the UK space ecosystem.
