Jenny Ward is in the Department of Transport and is responsible for policy, regulation and legislation, and programmes covering aviation safety, aviation skills, leading on Future of Flight (particularly drones and advanced air mobility) and commercial spaceflight for the Department. This involves sponsoring the Civil Aviation Authority as the spaceflight regulator. She has over a decade of experience in the civil service working with industry, internationally and cross-Government to develop and deliver complex policies across energy, environment and transport. Prior to joining the civil service Jenny worked in technical consultancy and the private commercial sector.
