During his time as the ESA Business Applications Regional Ambassador for North West England & North Wales, Alan co-authored the North West Space Strategy alongside UKRI-STFC colleagues and, with the formation of the North West Space Cluster, he was as its manager. Alan is now responsible for driving the growth and diversification of the space economy across North West England. With a professional background as in the arts, a role he continues to perform alongside his work in the space industry, Alan brings a unique blend of creativity and strategic insight to his role in the UK’s evolving space sector.
