Dr Emma Haynes is Partnerships Director, National Physical Laboratory. NPL provides the UK’s measurement capability that underpins science, research and innovation, with a mission to improve the UK’s prosperity and quality of life. Emma is responsible for maximising NPL’s impact, and developing opportunities that address national challenges in collaboration with industry, government, research organisations and academia. NPL has a portfolio of capabilities and expertise that supports the space sector including in position, navigation and timing and the development of atomic clocks, advanced communications technologies, space data for Earth observation, satellite calibration and in orbit assembly and manufacturing.
