Dr Stefania Soldini is a UKRI FL Fellow and Assoc. Prof. in Space Engineering at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. She leads the UKRI-funded REMORA project, developing autonomous navigation and mapping techniques for asteroid characterisation. She serves on the science core team for ESA’s Hera, NASA’s DART, and JAXA's Hayabusa2 missions. She was PI for Haybusa2's superior solar conjunction phase (2018). Dr Soldini worked at JAXA/ISAS (2016–2019) after a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Southampton. Her research spans astrodynamics, GNC, planetary science, and space robotics.
