Michelle Sprake is the Airbus Lead Systems Engineer on Vigil, a first of its kind mission that will provide advance warning of oncoming solar storms which risk impacting vital global space and ground communications and power infrastructure. She previously worked on the Solar Orbiter mission as a Payload Engineer, which launched in 2020 and is currently providing the highest resolution images of the Sun to date.
