Jinglang got her Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the Delft University of Technology on orbital dynamics for asteroid missions. Currently, she is a senior lecturer at the University of Strathclyde, where she has been working on autonomous navigation, AI-based sensor fusion and robust mission orbit design, with applications to the ESA Hera mission. Meanwhile, she has been working on intelligent space robotic arm control for active debris removal and in-orbit servicing. Her research has been supported by ESA OSIP and UKSA ETP programmes. She is currently a member of the Astrodynamics Committee of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF).
