Name
Graphene and New Economic Models
Description
Graphene was isolated in Manchester in 2004, since then it has steadily gained acceptance as a new deep-tech material. It has also suffered from overinflated expectations of the hype phase and is now emerging as a commercial industrial material. Many of these applications are for space, ranging from enhancing propellant to thermal management and many more. What has also emerged are new investment and development models for what is essentially a manufacturing process. Join this workshop to learn about the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC) in Manchester and the emerging successful Graphene businesses, including Smart IR that have launched a Graphene Product with a space application.
